I just got back from 3 days of fishing the Owyhee River in eastern Oregon with a fellow rod builder, Rick Robbins, from West Virginia. \u00a0Lots of big browns. \u00a0I chose a 8′ \u00a03″ \u00a05 wt bamboo rod for most of my fishing. \u00a0We had great success on \u00a0#22 Trico Spinners every morning, and matched them on Furled Leaders from Cutthroat Leaders<\/em>\u00a0in Boise, Idaho and 6X tippets. \u00a0 Tan and\/or black ants on 5X Tippets worked well in the afternoons and evenings. \u00a0Check it out.<\/p>\n
