{"id":1289,"date":"2016-07-22T16:16:42","date_gmt":"2016-07-22T16:16:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bamboopursuits.com\/?p=1289"},"modified":"2016-07-22T16:17:39","modified_gmt":"2016-07-22T16:17:39","slug":"owyhee-river-browns-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bamboopursuits.com\/?p=1289","title":{"rendered":"Owyhee River Browns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I got the chance to fish the Owyhee River in Eastern Oregon earlier this week for a few days with our friends Noel and Sue from Australia.\u00a0 Fishing was a little on the slow side but we still hooked into some nice Owyhee River Browns.\u00a0 There weren&#8217;t a lot of hatches going on during the day, and most fish were picked up on small #20 zebra midges.\u00a0 I used\u00a0my 7&#8242;\u00a0 6&#8243;\u00a0 5 wt Freestone Series bamboo fly rod for the two days, which worked great.\u00a0 I also used a 50&#8243;
