{"id":1734,"date":"2017-08-19T17:15:23","date_gmt":"2017-08-19T17:15:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bamboopursuits.com\/?p=1734"},"modified":"2017-08-19T17:15:23","modified_gmt":"2017-08-19T17:15:23","slug":"fly-fishing-the-owyhee-river-with-rick-robbins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bamboopursuits.com\/?p=1734","title":{"rendered":"Fly Fishing the Owyhee River with Rick Robbins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had a great time this week spending 4 days fishing the Owyhee River in eastern Oregon with renowned bamboo rod maker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rickrobbinsbambooflyrods.com\/\">Rick Robbins <\/a>from Virginia.\u00a0 We spent the 4 days sharing bamboo rod building stories and trying to figure out the hatches.\u00a0 Mornings and early afternoons were pretty slow fishing but there was a decent PMD hatch starting at mid-day that went on until dark.\u00a0 We were pretty successful with small PMD dries and emergers for the large Owyhee River browns, and we landed several nice fish in the 16&#8243;
