{"id":1909,"date":"2018-04-21T18:03:58","date_gmt":"2018-04-21T18:03:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bamboopursuits.com\/?p=1909"},"modified":"2018-04-21T18:04:25","modified_gmt":"2018-04-21T18:04:25","slug":"more-browns-this-time-on-the-owyhee-river","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bamboopursuits.com\/?p=1909","title":{"rendered":"More Browns&#8230;This Time on the Owyhee River"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On our trip back from Utah last week, Mary Ann and I couldn&#8217;t resist stopping on the Owyhee River for a couple of hours to fish.\u00a0 It was a blustery, overcast day but we knew the fish were there.\u00a0 Mary Ann fished her 7&#8242;\u00a0 9&#8243;\u00a0 4 wt Signature Series Bamboo rod, and I choose my 9&#8242;\u00a0 0&#8243;\u00a0 3 wt Bamboo EuroNymphing rod.\u00a0 There was no visible surface activity, but we knew from previous trips, the big Owyhee River browns usually like small midges and baetis nymphs.\u00a0 An Olive #20 Baetis nymph fished towards the bottom proved to be a good fly choice for the afternoon, and we got into a handful of very nice fish in the 16&#8243;
